| At the end of a footpath that begins a short way
from the centre of the artists' village of UBUD you'll find
our tropical hideaway, our home in Bali.
A private Balinese house, hidden from view, secluded from
the noise and bustle of the town, in an oasis of calm and
beauty overlooking the River Wos.
To the north a view of the Agung volcano, to the east the
river, to the south and west, trees and beyond them the wide
expanse of paddy fields.
Our Bali home in UBUD was not built as a villa to rent or
as part of a resort. Our hideaway, called Vanaprasha,
or 'back to the forest' has been a home for
ourselves and family and friends for the last 19 years. Our
staff have been with us for almost as long.
